Geisha at Bar
Authentic Geisha Experience in Tokyo, Not Just Kyoto
Tokyo's six geisha districts, known as the 'Tokyo Rokkagai,' include Kagurazaka, Shimbashi, Akasaka, Yoshicho, Asakusa, and Mukojima.
The Kagurazaka district, established in the late Edo period, dates back to 1788. It is renowned as the only geisha district that was spared during the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923. Along with Akasaka, Kagurazaka remains a favorite haunt for politicians and business magnates, who often visit incognito to this day.
The Art of Kagurazaka Geisha
Geisha at Bar "Bar ei"
"Bar ei" is run by a real geisha named Eiko, who is often at the counter, allowing guests to enjoy conversations with her.
When inviting geisha to "Bar ei," it is customary to offer her a drink. This gesture also applies when chatting with Eiko across the bar counter.
Some geisha are fluent not only in Japanese but also in English and French. You can invite a multilingual geisha or use our company-provided English-speaking guide for interpretation.
Peace of mind with an English-speaking guide
An English-proficient interpreter guide is included, ensuring that foreign guests who do not speak Japanese can fully enjoy the experience.
With the help of the English-speaking guide, you can have in-depth conversations with the geisha.
Perfect for Vegetarians
At geisha bars, only drinks are served, so there’s no need for vegetarians to worry.
