Since it can get quite hot during the day in summer, we also recommend our night walks. Kagurazaka, with its traditional entertainment district, offers a charming atmosphere in the evening, which many of our guests thoroughly enjoy.

This tour takes you on a historical journey through Kagurazaka. This street once connected the residence of Tadakatsu Sakai, a leading councilor (Tairo) of the Edo shogunate, with the Ushigome gate of Edo Castle. The Tairo held one of the highest positions within the Edo shogunate, serving as a key advisor to the shogun.

This means you'll be walking the same path some of the most influential figures of the Edo period used for their daily commute about 400 years ago. This experience, offering a unique glimpse into the daily life and power dynamics of Edo-era Japan, is something you can only enjoy in Kagurazaka.

Would you like to walk through the charming Kagurazaka with a local guide who has lived in the area for about a quarter of a century? We will take you to Kagurazaka and Tokyo's history, wonderful places, and delicious restaurants that only locals know about.
