Service Description
- This tour is completely private; other groups will not join you. - Group size: 5-40 guests. - Children are welcome to participate. Children up to 3 years old are free of charge if they do not eat. - You will be entering a tatami room. Please make sure to wear socks when entering. - This tour includes 2 hours of watching a Geisha's performance and a meal at the famous traditional Japanese Eel (Unagi) restaurant "Shimakin." Please note that although the total duration, including the meal, is two hours, the time spent with the geisha is one hour. - Many other geisha banquet tours typically feature only 2 geisha. However, our geisha banquet special course is exceptionally luxurious, featuring 3 geisha. To fully appreciate the geisha's performances of songs and dances, it is ideal to have a total of 3 or more performers (including dancers and musicians such as singers, shamisen players, and accompanists). - "Shimakin" was founded in 1869 and is the oldest restaurant in Kagurazaka. "Shimakin" not only has a long history, but it is also ranked as the fifth best eel restaurant in Shinjuku Ward. Note: According to Japan's largest gourmet website, Tabelog. Akebono Course - Appetizer - Starter - Soup - Sashimi - Grilled Dish - Simmered Liver - Simmered Dish - Eel Rice Box (Yuki) - Fruit Dessert Included: - Fee for dispatching 3 Geisha (For 1 hour) - Appreciation of 3 Geisha performances, including songs, dances, and musical performances - Traditional games and conversations with Geisha - Customers' food (Akebono Course) - English-speaking local guide - Flexible tour planning in English Note: Geisha may sometimes have obligations with other ryotei (traditional restaurants), which means they may not be able to stay for the entire two hours of your banquet. This is also part of geisha culture. We apologize, but even if the geisha’s time is less than two hours, there will be no changes to the fee. Thank you for your understanding. However, please rest assured that there will be no changes to the content of the dance or games. Not Included: - Alcohol and beverage charges - Tip for Geisha (The typical tip is ¥3,000-5,000 per geisha) - Transportation costs The meeting place will be decided upon consultation with the customer. Hotel pickup is also available for an additional fee.
Cancellation Policy
Date of cancellation request received by us 8 or more days prior to the Experience Tour: No charge 2 to 7 days prior to the Experience Tour: 50% cancellation charge of the total cost 1 day prior and on the day to the Experience Tour: 100% cancellation charge of the total cost No show or after the commencement of the Experience Tour: 100% of the total cost In the event of a cancellation request, any refund will be remitted to your bank account after deducting the fees: cancellation charges as applicable and bank handling/wire transfer charges. It will likely take about 3-4 weeks to process under normal circumstances. The date and time of cancellation are based on Japan Standard Time only when a notice is received by EDO KAGURA Corporation, regardless of when the customer sent the notice.
