Geisha Events in Tokyo Showcase Their Artistry This October and November

This October and November, the world of Tokyo's Kagai (geisha districts) will come alive with a series of geisha events. One of the major highlights of the season is the public geisha dance performances held in large venues, showcasing the refined artistry of geisha. These events represent the pinnacle of the geisha's year, with each geisha district pouring its energy into the performances. This autumn, geisha districts in Asakusa, Kagurazaka, and Mukojima will each host public events.

Here are the details of the autumn geisha events:

While tickets for the upcoming Asakusa Odori have already sold out, there are still tickets available for both the Kagurazaka Odori and Mukojima Odori. However, seats are limited, so we recommend purchasing tickets as soon as possible.

A Memorable Autumn: Geisha Performances and Authentic Ozashiki Asobi

A recommended itinerary could be watching the free Asakusa geisha dances, followed by attending the more formal Kagurazaka Odori or Mukojima Odori. After the performances, you can further immerse yourself in the geisha world by visiting a Ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurant) or restaurant for an authentic ozashiki asobi experience. Alternatively, you can visit a geisha bar for a more casual conversation with a geisha after the performance.
