In Japan, there is a tradition that says if a sumo wrestler holds a baby, the baby will grow up healthy and strong. When I was a baby, I was held by a former yokozuna (grand champion) named Wajima. Since then, I have rarely been sick and have never been hospitalized. If you have a baby in your family, consider purchasing the "Box Seat B for 4 with Commemorative Photo with Sumo Wrestler" ticket and have your baby held by a sumo wrestler. It might lead to a healthy life, just like mine!

Everyone, take this opportunity to enjoy watching Sumo!

Enjoy Chanko Nabe in Kagurazaka, Shinjuku!

Additionally, around the sumo tournament venues, dinner time after the sumo matches end at 6 PM tends to be very crowded. For Tokyo tournaments, the area around Ryogoku Kokugikan becomes extremely busy. Many people want to enjoy "Chanko Nabe," a hot pot dish favored by sumo wrestlers, making it even harder to secure a reservation at restaurants near the venue than to get sumo tickets.

We recommend enjoying "Chanko Nabe" in Kagurazaka. JR Iidabashi Station, the nearest station to Kagurazaka, is only 11 minutes away from JR Ryogoku Station on the JR Sobu Line, with no transfers needed. Kagurazaka has three Chanko Nabe restaurants: "Chanko Kuroshio," "Kotonofuji," and "Izakaya Mizumachi with Chanko." "Chanko Kuroshio" and "Kotonofuji" are authentic restaurants run by former sumo wrestlers from the prestigious Sadogatake stable. Sadogatake stable has a history of over 200 years and has produced yokozuna (grand champions). The current ozeki (champion), Kotozakura, is also a member of the Sadogatake stable.
